El Barroco y las ofrendas humanas en Nueva España

Relios from European saints were brought to New Spain as an important part of Church policy in the region in the 1st century after the Spanish Conquest. Nevertheless, relios were always in short supply. To cope with the problem, the religious orders wrapped their significance with ritual forms which became widespread and increasingly complex and extreme in the period known as «The Mexican Baroque» -to the point of bearing resemblance to rituals of the same type in Mediaeval Europe. The study shows that there is only one humankind. Befare death -either abstract or concrete- people behave everywhere in similar forros, some allowed, some persecuted. It all depends on who is in power and what in the historical time and place.En Nueva España las reliquias en el primer siglo de la Conquista, fueron traidas de Santos Europeos, pero siempre escaseaban, sin embargo las Órdenes Religiosas impusieron un ritual que se fué generalizando. Durante el período conocido como Barroco Mexicano este ritual cobró formas extremas, similares a las de la Europa Medieval. En conjunto lo que queda claro es que la humanidad es una y que frente a la muerte abstracta o concreta, actúa en formas similares, unas permitidas y otras perseguidas, según el grupo dominante, lugar y momento histórico
