The symbiotic associations between plants, microbes and fungi are examples of living in harmony. The intimate association between the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and their host plants benefits the latter in nutrient (viz., phosphate, nitrogen etc.) acquisition in exchange of carbohydrates.
