Background: Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Study (VFSS) analysis is a complex skill requiring highly developed visual perceptual skills and clinical interpretation. Currently limited guidance exists as to the most effective methods for developing analytical accuracy in VFSS. As consistency and efficiency of VFSS analysis varies within and across clinical contexts, understanding factors that influence skill development is important.
