Continuing drought conditions throughout Australia have led to the imposition of various levels of water restrictions by urban water authorities. These restrictions have limited the quantity of potable water and the time at which this water can be used for urban irrigation purposes. As a result, many local councils have begun to investigate the feasibility and viability of using alternative water sources to supplement potable supplies for irrigating their urban playing fields and golf courses.
