In recent years there has been growing interest in the importance of developing partnerships between universities and schools for both improved practicum experiences for student teachers and school renewal, with improved outcomes for students, student teachers, practising teachers and university professors. This chapter will outline the development of such a collaborative partnership between one university professor, Catherine Sinclair, and a school. In particular, it focuses on the collaboration between Catherine and the school's principal, Lil Perre. This partnership moved from one of comfortable collaboration, through structured collaboration, to critical collaboration
