Sound Bubble and Sound Bubble Sound Party

City Recital Hall’s foyer is transformed by Sound Bubble, a spectacular installation of light and sound, during Vivid Sydney. This mad professor-style invention of Damian Barbeler and John Taylor is part intelligent life form, part multimedia installation and part experimental performance space. Contained within this high tech, clear inflatable cube is a wonderful array of interactive technology that will spark a series of weird, wonderful, beautiful and inspiring events, including Sound Bubble Sound Party on Friday 9 June. The Sound Bubble comprised of 2000 DMX controlled lights and multichannel audio system that was interactively programed for two purposes: firstly, to interact with members of the public using novel audio and visual detection algorithms, and secondly, to respond to the audio content of the live performance by Paul Mac. The Sound Bubble was on public display at Vivid Sydney 2017, located at City Recital Hall, Angel Place, Sydney, from May 26 – June 17 2017
