This study explored the experiences and perceptions of students who engaged in a student literacy and language strategies (SLLS) program that was embedded in an undergraduate nursing program. The findings from the study contributed to the validation of the program as a model of academic support. To assess the experiences of the students from their engagement in the program, interviews were conducted with the students following completion of a core professional communication unit for nursing in which the SLLS program was embedded.
