In this paper, linear constitutive equations of magnetoelectroelastic media involving mechanical, electric and magnetic fields are presented. An energy function is defined. A system of finite element equations for the magnetoelectroelastic media is formulated from the variational principal. A finite element code is developed for the coupled electromagnetoelastic analysis. The finite element modeling is utilized to study the behavior of a crack in a magnetoelectroelastic medium. The deformed crack with a yet-to-be-determined crack shape, and the coupling between the deformation of the crack and the electromagnetic fields inside the crack are investigated.
