Curator Lisa Slade has assembled a collection of some three dozen early colonial paintings, drawings, prints and pieces of furniture, together with works by eleven contemporary artists – Brook Andrew, Fiona Hall, Narelle Jubelin, Fiona MacDonald, Danie Mellor, Kate Rohde, Joan Ross, Sarah Smuts-Kennedy, Robyn Stacey, Imants Tillers and Louise Weaver – selected to reflect or comment upon, illuminate or extend the imagery and meanings of the historical material
