Modelling of selfpurification processes of the shelf zone sea water

The monography “Modelling of selfpurification processes of the shelf zone sea water” is devoted to the problem of mathematical modelling of selfpurification processes of the shelf zone water, with the Black Sea taken as an example. Complex oceanographic investigations made by the Institute of Biology of Southern Seas allowed to give a scheme description of water dynamics elements, having the greatest influence on the formation of polluted water fields. The theoretical model of the selfpurification processes of the shelf zone sea water from pollutants of the municipal and domestic sewage has been formulated. The influence of the following factors is examined in this model: influence of advective transfer and processes of turbulent diffusion, working regimes and disposition of pollution source, biochemical oxidation of unstable organic, utilization of mineral components of pollution by phytoplankton. Application of the model for determination of the selfpurification zones scales, admittable volumes of polluted waters discharge and another tasks solution has been shown. This book is written with consideration of interests of oceanologists, hydrochemists, hydrobiologists and specialists working with problems of sea pollution prevention.Монография посвящена проблеме математического моделирования процессов самоочищения вод шельфовой зоны на примере Черного моря. Комплексные океанологические исследования, выполненные в Институте биологии южных морей, позволили дать схематизированное описание элементов динамики вод, оказывающих наибольшее влияние на формирование полей загрязненных вод. Сформулирована теоретическая модель процесса самоочищения вод шельфовой зоны моря от загрязнений, поступающих в составе хозяйственно-бытовых сточных вод. Рассматривается влияние адвективного переноса и процессов турбулентной диффузии, режима работы и расположения источников загрязнений, биохимического окисления нестойкой органики, утилизации фитопланктоном минеральных компонент загрязнений. Показано применение модели к определению масштабов зон самоочищения, допустимых объемов сброса загрязненных вод, решению других задач.
