Black Sea sprat: the relation of lipid dynamics with the biology and fishing

The book presents results of the research on lipid dynamics (fat content of the body, lipid content of muscles and liver, fatty acids composition of lipid) in Black - Sea sprat as related to the biology and present stock of the fish. The character of lipid dynamics during the annual cycle was found to depend on the generative process and specificity of boreal sprat habitation in warm waters of the Black Sea. The study disclosed a relationship between the content of neutral lipids in the body and the abundance of stock and the intensity of responding to light attracting assessment of the available sprat stock using fat content as the basic parameter. It will be interesting for ichtyologist, hydrobiologist, physiologist, biochemists and fishermen.Представлены результаты исследования динамики липидов (содержания жира в теле, липидного состава мышц и печени, жирнокислотного состава липидов) у черноморского шпрота в связи с особенностями его биологии и состоянием запасов в современных условиях. Выявлена связь характера динамики липидов на протяжении годового цикла с ходом генеративных процессов и спецификой условий обитания этого бореального вида в теплом Черном море. Установлена зависимость между содержанием нейтральных липидов в теле шпрота и плотностью образуемых им скоплений, а также интенсивностью привлечения рыб к свету.
