Injury as a principal Lithuanian public health problem and its modus of solution

Injury is the 3rd leading cause of mortality in the Lithuania, preceded by cardiovascular and oncological diseases. However, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) lost in standard 100 000 population per year show that injury is a key public health problem in Lithuania. Neuropsychiatric disorders emerge as a second major public health problem. Trauma system, trauma centers, and education trauma care related programs are integer factors which significantly could influence reduction of trauma related consequences. Centralized (inclusive) trauma system is most effective
