Trees for imaginary stories and dance dramatization

The diploma thesis deals with imaginary trees which were used as means in the empirical part. The first theoretical part summarizes some key findings of well-known authors about the development of child's imagination, creativity and dance in general. My goal was to encourage preschool children's abstract thinking and expressing it through dance. My wish was to show how an abstract idea about imaginary trees effects story creativity and dancing dramatizations. The empirical part of the thesis was carried out in Plesno društvo Imani. Preschool children from three groups (Dancing preparatory 1, Dancing preparatory 2 and Dancing preparatory 3) and primary school children from two groups (Hip hop 1, Hip hop 2) took part in the research. I wanted to see the difference in abstract thinking between preschool and primary school children. All the procedure was written down and some photos were added to see how children were involved in dancing dramatizations
