Authors comic

The diploma discusses comics as a medium. It contains short overview of it’s history, from first beginnings as a visual narrative, to print in Europe and beginnings of comics as we know today. Also the history of comics in Slovenia, it’s beginnings and some significant authors. Next it lists and describes the elements of the language of comics, its properties and uniqnes of comics expression, and it’s place in the age of mass media. In author’s part it talks about the process of making a comic from the initial idea, character design, placement of pannels, to finalisation of a comic to it’s finished apperance, and influences of other authors on personal style. The pedagogical part includes the lesson plan and analysis of the lesson as well as the art works of students in 7th grade primary school
