Thesis addresses the storytelling language abilities. Telling is one of the key language features that a child forms by the age around 8. Mastery of these skills has a strong influence on some other development capabilities, such as the ability to communicate with other people, the ability to think, especially problem solving, developing self-image, understanding emotions and the linguistic competence of the child. The goal of my thesis was to highlight the importance of narrative research in children, especially in children with speech and language deficits, because insight into the characteristics of the child's narrative skills offers a good starting point to formulating appropriate speech therapy.
