Counselling women considering abortion

In my final paper issues of abortion are presented from various starting points with the emphasies on presentation and research of support given to a woman being confronted with making a decision on abortion. At the beginning abortion legislation in Slovenia is explained and social aspect including various opinions about the problem is given. I explore a possition of a woman moving to motherhood or deciding on abortion. Possible situations linked to her decision-making and therefore additionally burdening her are also mentioned. Attention is directed to various aspects of assistance and support to a woman in such a situation. Besides counselling before abortion, maternal homes, adoption alternative, various organizations helping people move to parenthood are also available. I payed attention to a situation of decision-making also in my research work. Speaking to nine people professionally involved in work with women considering abortion I discovered how they themselves see the situation of women, their own role in counselling before abortion and what dillemas they encounter in their work
