Folk literature in Zgornja Savinjska valley

In the introduction of the thesis I have highlighted the motives that encouraged me to explore the folk literature in the Zgornja Savinjska valley. The theoretical part at the beginning presents a folk literature in general and the definition of folk genres and types, followed by the presentation of folk literature that characterizes the Zgornja Savinjska valley. In the empirical part I was interested in how many folk texts are in readings for pupil in third triad of primary school, and whether it is between them some from Zgornja Savinjska valley. I also distributed questionnaires among randomly selected pupils in the third triad of primary schools Blaž Arnič Luče, Ljubno ob Savinji and Rečica ob Savinji, with which I have verified the knowledge of the folk tradition among students. At each school I divided the 40 questionnaires, therefore 120 questionnaires together. I got 103 returned questionnaires, of which I have processed 90. Some of the answers I have processed graphically, the rest I either engrossed or I commented on them. The results confirm that students know every time less about folk stories and their writers, and that the school only contributes a little to keep them
