La teoría del conflicto aplicada a los procesos territoriales: el caso de estudio de la Península de Yucatán, México

The present research paper is aimed at investigating, in the field of knowledge of political science, the issue of conflicting territorial claims, paying particular attention to those that arise within the same country, since there are different types. Attention is focused on the case study of the dispute that exists in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. From a theoretical perspective, geopolitics and the theory of conflicto are combined to analyze and document this territorial process, from different approaches such as geographic, cartographic, historical and legal, as well as from the perspective of the political actors involved expressed through communiqués. Among the results can be seen what is the reason for the territorial dispute in the case of study and a review of what have been the means of resolution that have already been tried since the last century to ende a conflicto that is expanding in the time. Finally, it´s concluded that the cooperative effort of the opposing parties is the best way to overcome the conflicto and achieve better levels of development.El presente trabajo de investigación está orientado a indagar en el campo de la ciencia política sobre las reclamaciones territoriales conflictivas; pone especial atención a las que se suscitan al interior de un mismo país, ya que existen diferentes tipos. Se centra en el estudio de caso de la disputa que prevalece en la Península de Yucatán, México. A partir de una perspectiva teórica, combina la geopolítica y la teoría del conflicto para analizar y documentar este proceso territorial desde diferentes enfoques: geográfico, cartográfico, histórico y jurídico; así como desde el punto de vista de los actores políticos involucrados, expresada mediante comunicados.Entre los resultados, se constata el motivo de la disputa territorial en el caso de estudio y se hace un repaso de cuáles han sido los medios de resolución que se han llevado a cabo desde el siglo pasado para poner fin a un conflicto que se dilata en el tiempo. Se concluye que el esfuerzo cooperativo de las partes enfrentadas es la mejor forma de superar el conflicto y alcanzar mejores niveles de desarrollo
