The Age of the Earth

Modern science had its roots in the Biblical Reformation, and early modern scientists believed in a young earth. Old earth proposals sparked by Leyell and Darwin became politically motivated, and opposition to Kelvin\u27s science was accepted as the church swung toward these proposals.
