There has been increasing interest for the coexistence of communication and radar systems which share the same wireless channel. This paper investigates the effect of non-cooperative additive radar interference for a communication channel where convolutional encoder is used. In order to include any given pair of convolutional encoder and M-ary constellation in the analysis, bit-error-rate (BER) bound expressions for low and high interference regions are derived based on product-state matrix technique. Thus, the any chosen constellation together with convolutional encoder does not need to satisfy the quasi-regularity (QR) property that includes geometrical uniformity and symmetry.
