The general objectives of this study were to determine whether the diet of slum dwellers of Banda Parish outside Kampala city is adequate in reference to the normative content of the human right to adequate food (RtF), and to identify and discuss existing constraints to attaining food adequacy, availability and accessibility in Banda Parish. Two methodologies i.e. qualitative content analysis and the survey method were used. The study comprised two categories of respondents, rights holders (residents of Banda Parish) and duty bearers (representatives of institutions considered as having the mandate to promote RtF).
