The XcalableMP (XMP) compilation system and directive-based language developed by RIKEN has a capability to incorporate instrumentation allowing measurement and analysis with the Scalasca parallel performance tools. We propose to update and improve this capability, along with those of the separate tools, and include it in our tools training with hands-on exercises
