Two applications have been ported to two parallel machines with shared virtual memory (iPSC/2 with KOAN and KSR-1). Additionally, one of the applications has been ported to the Intel iPSC (iPSC/2 and iPSC/860) using a message passing programming model. In this report the authors discuss the code modifications needed to port the applications using the shared virtual memory and message passing programming model and evaluate the performance of the applications running on different parallel machines
