This work aims to analyze how the school leaders and teachers appropriate on the results from the Permanent Evaluation System of Basic Education from Ceará/Brazil (Sistema Permanente de Avaliação da Educação Básica do Ceará - SPAECE), using them as elements to the improvement of teaching practices in the state high schools under the jurisdiction by the 18th Regional Coordination of Educational Development (18ª Coordenadoria Regional de Desenvolvimento da Educação - CREDE). Despite the teachers’ difficulties referred to the proper use of data from this evaluation, the schools promote moments of study to appropriate on it, in order to implement a more coherent work with actual learning needs of their students.
