Death occupies a crucial place in human life. Its perspective is historic and varies according to time, culture and region where the society is established and other aspects. From the prism of the event, proposed by Michel Foucault, death is entwined with basic characteristics of civilization, such as religion, sexuality and morality. Although contemporary death is reported and exposed in the media, when it comes to personal experience, it appears on the margins of the daily practices of ordinary people, as well as the rituals that involve it.
