This study aimed to analyze the Pedagogical Journey Extension Project - PAJP in Gerência Regional de Ensino (GRE) Sertão do Alto Pajeú in the State of Pernambuco , deployed from two aspects : the policy of modernization of management by results created by State Government , and the need to correct the low educational indicators presented by GRE in external evaluations . The basic hypothesis is that the PAJP may have influenced the rise of this Regional indicators in comparison with others existing in the State . A nationwide analysis showed that positive results have been achieved by similar programs such as PAIC and PIP, in Ceará and Minas Gerais.
