This intervention project aims to analyze the teaching of indigenous culture in the network of the State of São Paulo. Thus, several actions were carried out with the classes of the 2nd year of High School of a Public School of Integral Education in the city of São Vicente / SP. The project came from the analysis of the textbook “Modern Times, Times of Sociology”, written by Helena Bomeny, of the work “Race and history”, written by Lévi-Strauss and from the book “The Brazilian People: The Formation and Meaning of Brazil”, by anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro.
