The relationship between religiosity and aging is an important research bias regarding the health of institutionalized elderly in Brazil. Influenced by technological and social advances, by the increase of the elderly population, immersed in a rapid and intense demographic transition, the concerns and interventions in the health field of the elderly population began to value beyond the physical, psychological and social elements, the religious beliefs. This paper seeks to make some observations about the relationship between religiosity and resilience in institutionalized elderly.
