This paper proposes an application of a combinatory optimization to the reconfiguration problem of electrical distribution systems with focus on the reliability criteria. The objective is to minimize the reliability index known as energy not supplied through the reconfiguration of radial electrical networks, as well as the evaluation of the impacts of the reconfiguration in other indexes, as the duration and frequency indexes. The contribution consists of the application of an algorithm based on the metaheuristic artificial immune systems from the literature developed for the reconfiguration problem, which considers the connectivity and radiality constraints, however, with focus on the reliability in the present work.
