Distorção idade-ano: caminhos para minimizá-la na Escola Carmen Miranda – Tabatinga/AM

The present study analyzes the problem of age-year distortion in the Carmem Miranda State School, located in the city of Tabatinga / AM, specifically in the classes of the Final Years of Elementary Education, in which 21% of students enrolled in the Institutions were with age-year lags, a situation that is repeated in later years. Therefore, there was a need to conduct research so that they could identify the causes of distortion that prevents students from advancing in their studies. In view of this, the question that led to this research is: what actions is the management of the state school Carmem Miranda developing to minimize the problem of age-year distortion in school? Thus, this study aims to identify and analyze the problem of age-year distortion and then propose an intervention plan so that school management can take action to minimize the problem in its classes of the Final Years of Teaching Fundamental. The specific objectives were: i) to describe the problems that impede students' progress in their studies; Ii) analyze the causes of age / year distortion in the Carmem Miranda State School; and iii) propose an intervention plan that proposes actions to correct the flow. This study used the qualitative methodology. Questionnaires were applied to students and parents. Interviews were conducted with the teachers and with the Pedagogical Support of the school. Documentary research was also conducted. In theoretical terms, this dissertation was based on the reflections of authors such as Prado (2000) and Brandão (2000). Also important were the weights of Tarocco Filho et al (2013), as well as those of Nunes et al (2014), which deal with issues of age-year distortion and correction of school flow. Still useful were Carvalho (2001) surveys on school performance statistics, and Gomes (2005) on School Desertion.O presente trabalho analisa o problema da distorção idade-ano na Escola Carmen Miranda, localizada na cidade de Tabatinga/AM, especificamente nas turmas dos Anos Finais do Ensino Fundamental, no qual foi constatado que, em 2013, 21% dos alunos matriculados na instituição estavam com defasagem idade-ano, situação que se repete nos anos posteriores. Portanto, viu-se a necessidade de realizar pesquisas para que pudessem identificar as causas da distorção que impedem os alunos de avançarem em seus estudos. Em vista disso, a questão que balizou esta pesquisa é: que ações a gestão da Escola Carmen Miranda está desenvolvendo para minimizar o problema da distorção idade-ano na escola? Assim sendo, este estudo tem como objetivo geral identificar e analisar o problema da distorção idade-ano para, posteriormente, propor um plano de intervenção de forma que a gestão da escola possa desenvolver ações para minimizar o problema em suas turmas dos Anos Finais do Ensino Fundamental. Os objetivos específicos foram: i) descrever os problemas que impedem o avanço dos alunos em seus estudos; ii) analisar as causas da distorção idade/ano na Escola Carmen Miranda, e iii) propor um plano de intervenção com ações que garantam a correção de fluxo. O estudo desenvolvido é de abordagem qualitativa. Foram aplicados questionários para os alunos e para os pais, além disso, foram feitas entrevistas com os professores e com o Apoio Pedagógico da escola e também realizada uma pesquisa documental. Em termos teóricos, essa Dissertação se pautou nas reflexões de autores como Prado (2000) e Brandão (2000). Também foram importantes as ponderações de Tarocco Filho et al (2013), assim como as de Nunes et al (2014), que abordam temas sobre a distorção idade-ano e a correção de fluxo escolar. Ainda úteis foram as pesquisas de Carvalho (2001), acerca das estatísticas de desempenho escolar, e de Gomes (2005) sobre Desseriação Escolar
