Noroviruses (NoV) are important etiological agents responsible for outbreaks and sporadic cases of acute diarrhea in individuals of all ages. The viral particles are nonenveloped with and the genome is composed of a positive single-stranded RNA. Norovirus belongs to the Caliciviridae family, Norovirus genus and are classified into five genogroups (GI-V), with GI, GII and GIV being found in human and among them, the NoV GII genotype 4 (GII.4) are the most commonly found worldwide.
