A trajetória das religiões de matriz africana na história da educação brasileira

The present theme is fundamental to understand the rejection of the themes related to Afro-Brazilian history and culture in schools and the recurrent challenges to the implementation of the law 10639/03 and its insertion in the school curriculum. This work aims to discuss the trajectory of religions whit African matrix in the history of the Brazilian education. The discussions are limited to understanding the exclusion of these themes and the trajectory of the prejudice that accompanies the education up to the present, as well as the challenges to the applicability of the law in the schools, the result of this trajectory. A qualitative analysis was realized with a bibliographical review, bringing bibliographies related whit the history of education and the insertion of the law into school curriculums, the educational legislations, the Brazilian constitutions, with regard to state competences in education, and legislations that criminalize Afro-Brazilian cultural practices, as the religious manifestations and the capoeira. The work also included empirical material, and visits were made to six schools, two of the state public network, two of the municipal public network and two private educational institutions, all of the city of Campos dos Goytacazes RJ, with participant observation and dialogue with Teachers and pedagogical coordination, taking into the space of these schools the theoretical discussions during the course of the work, where it was possible to observe both the resistance to the contents brought by the law and positive initiatives and practices within their themes.O presente tema é fundamental para compreender a rejeição as temáticas ligadas á história e cultura afro-brasileira nas escolas e os recorrentes desafios para implantação da lei 10639/03 e sua inserção no currículo escolar. Este trabalho tem por objetivo discutir a trajetória das religiões de matriz africana na história da educação brasileira. As discussões delimitam-se a compreender a exclusão dessas temáticas e a trajetória do preconceito que acompanha a educação até a contemporaneidade, bem como os desafios para a aplicabilidade da lei nas escolas, fruto dessa trajetória. Foi realizada uma analise qualitativa com revisão bibliográfica, trazendo bibliografias relacionadas a história da educação e a inserção da lei nos currículos escolares, as legislações educacionais, as constituições brasileiras no que dispões sobre as competências do estado para a educação, e legislações que criminalizam as práticas culturais afro-brasileiras, como as manifestações religiosas e capoeira. O trabalho contou também com material empírico, ondem foram realizadas visitas a seis escolas, sendo duas da rede pública estadual, duas da rede pública municipal e duas instituições privadas de ensino, todas do município de Campos dos Goytacazes RJ, com observação participante e diálogo com professores e coordenação pedagógica, levando para o espaço dessas escolas, as discussões teóricas realizadas ao decorrer do trabalho, onde foi possível observar tanto a resistência aos conteúdos trazidos pela lei, quanto iniciativas e práticas positivas dentro de suas temáticas
