The present theme is fundamental to understand the rejection of the themes related to Afro-Brazilian history and culture in schools and the recurrent challenges to the implementation of the law 10639/03 and its insertion in the school curriculum. This work aims to discuss the trajectory of religions whit African matrix in the history of the Brazilian education. The discussions are limited to understanding the exclusion of these themes and the trajectory of the prejudice that accompanies the education up to the present, as well as the challenges to the applicability of the law in the schools, the result of this trajectory.
