Assessment of entrepreneurship education on the relationship between attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control and entrepreneurial intention

Entrepreneurialeventsare understoodto be imperiousin accelerating the economic developmentof nationsowingto a largenumber of jobs it creates.Thus, both developed and developing countries understand the importance of entrepreneurship education to instil student interest in entrepreneurialaction. This study investigates the moderating effect of entrepreneurship education (EEP) on the relationship between attitude(ATT), subjective norms(SNMS), and perceived behavioural control (PBC) towards entrepreneurship intention (EINT)of university undergraduate students. The study population covered 794 students from all the four faculties of Northwest University Kano, that were taught acompulsory entrepreneurship education course in their third yearof studies.Asample of 293students was surveyed using the questionnaire method.In the process of data screening, 30 univariate outlier cases were removed.The PLS-SEM resultdisplayssatisfactory measurement and structural model resultswhich show only the attitude variable has a significant positive relationship with EINT. SNMS,PBC,and EEPrevealed an insignificant relationship with EINT. Hence, EEP has no moderation effect on any of the study variables.
