Language Contact in Mauritius: Political, Sociolinguistic and Psycholinguistic Perspectives: Conference report

Auf Mauritius leben verschiedene Ethnien mit ihren unterschiedlichen Religionen, Kulturen und Sprachen auf kleinstem Raum zusammen. Wie dieses Zusammenleben sprachlich funktioniert, haben (Sprach-)Wissenschaftler*innen aus Mauritius und Europa bei einer internationalen Tagung am 12. und 13. Dezember 2019 am Institut für Romanistik der Universität Wien diskutiert.Mauritius is known for its ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic diversity in a very small area. The linguistic functioning of this cohabitation has been discussed by linguists and other scientists from Mauritius and Europe on the occasion of an international conference on 12th and 13th of December 2019 at the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Vienna
