The name «Jonah» in Spanish, and also in Greek, identifies a person with a proper noun. But in the Hebrew language the word «yonáh» hfnowy has several meanings. Literally it means a dove but it is also a proper noun: Jonah. This term appears 52 times in the Hebrew Bible bringing forward several striking nuances.
