Objective: to assess frequency and clinical significance of cognitive function impairment in postmenopausal woman. Methods: A cross-sectional study included 462 women under the age of 65. Arterial hypertension, carbohydrate metabolism impairment, chronic heart failure, coronary heart disease frequency were registered. Mini Mental State Examination was used to assess cognitive function. Results: mild cognitive function impairment was found in 223 (48%) postmenopausal women, 28 cases (6%) of dementia were registered.
