The article contains information on the state of the processes of lipid peroxidation (LPO) in fresh cows under the influence of stress reaction caused by labor and the beginning of the lactation period. To reduce oxidative stress in the body of fresh cows, antioxidants were used in the form of preparations “E-selenium” and “Butofan”. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of vitamin-containing preparations “E-selenium” and “Butofan” on the productivity of fresh cows, the quality of milk and butter, made from it. The studies were carried out during the winter-stall period on one of the farms of Ryazan district of Ryazan region and involved 12 fresh black-and-white cows aged 4 years.
