Berbicara adalah alat komunikasi secara langsung. Kemampuan berbicara tidak dapat dikaitkan dengan kemampuan yang lain. Kemampuan ini sangat penting daripada yang lain. Kemampuan berbicara adalah kemampuan kedua yang harus dimiliki siswa setelah keahlian mendengarkan dan sebelum kemampuan membaca dan menulis.Untuk membuat kemampuan berbicara secara baik, siswa diharapkan untuk mengingat dan praktik berbagai macam ekspresi dalam bahasa inggris. Jadi, mereka harus mempunyai keahlian yang bagus dalam mengekspresikan perasaan, ide mereka dalam bahasa inggris.Itu semua harus digunakan dalam percakapan bahasa inggris.
