About 110 researchers and students from all over the world met from July 20th to July 22nd at the Forschungszentrum Jülich to participate in the international workshop “From Computational Biophysics to Systems Biology (CBSB11)”. The workshop was dedicated to Harold Scheraga who celebrates his 90th birthday in October 2011. Dr. Scheraga pioneered the use of computers in chemistry and biology. His work inspired many of the research areas that were the topic of this meeting, ranging from biophysics to systems biology.
