For the eighth time, the International Conference on ElectroAnalysis (ESEAC) welcomes participants from all over the world. It is not only the first time that Germany with its long tradition in electrochemistry and analytical chemistry is hosting this conference but it is also the first meeting of this series to be organized in cooperation with the Society of Electroanalytical Chemistry (SEAC). Because of the special year we invited colleagues to present plenary "name" lectures as a bridge between the past and future in our field.
