ABSTRACTBorax is one of the dangerous substances and is prohibited from being used in food products. Borax is chemical compound called sodium tetraborate (NaB4O7 â»10 H2O). Borax or Borax acid is usually used for making detergents and antiseptic and its use in food product, can cause a various health problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the presence and levels of Borax found in copra ash in Tateli and Lelema villages. The method which used in this study was the flame Color Test method, Tumeric Paper and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The results obtained that the two samples identified based on color visualization parameters.
