Colloidal nanocrystals (NCs, i.e., crystalline nanoparticles) have become an important class of materials with great potential for applications ranging from medicine to electronic and optoelectronic devices. Todays strong research focus on NCs has been prompted by the tremendous progress in their synthesis.
