The range resistors to be used with a multijunction thermal converter (MJTC) have been developed. Based on the measured frequency dependence of the impedance of the PTB-type VJTCC an appropriate model for the converter has been developed. Range resistors have been designed in such a way that the voltage across the thermal converter remains unchanged from dc to 1 MHz within a few ppm. The stray capacitance of the resistors is blocked with active guards and the skin effect is compensated with a family of the RC-circuits set in parallel with the range resistor
