Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Bagaimana peningkatan perilaku belajar siswa selama penerapan pendekatan proses untuk menulis teks naratif? (2) Bagaimana peningkatan kemampuan menulis siswa setelah penerapan pendekatan proses untuk menulis teks naratif?. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dan setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi.
