La synthèse de cycles de taille moyenne est, et a toujours été, un défi en synthèse organique. De plus, en chimie médicinale, les hétérocycles azotés sont des composés très importants, car ils sont présents dans de nombreuses molécules bioactives. Le fluor étant un atome connu pour améliorer la bioactivité d’une molécule, le développement d’une méthode de synthèse d’hétérocycles fluorés de taille moyenne est donc d’intérêt. Dans ce manuscrit nous présentons une méthode efficace pour accéder à des α-fluoroalkyl-azépanes et azocanes par une réaction d’agrandissement de cycle.
