Le stockage de l’énergie sous la forme de dihydrogène suscite un intérêt grandissant dans la communauté scientifique et les industries du secteur de l’énergie et du transport. Les piles à combustible à membrane échangeuse de protons (PEMFC) permettent de convertir ce gaz en électricité sans rejets nocifs, à des températures peu élevées. Les catalyseurs actuels sont majoritairement constitués de nanoparticules de platine, déposées sur un matériau carboné microporeux.
