Is there more to psychosocial treatments in addiction than brief interventions?

Psychosocial interventions in the management of substance abuse, such as brief interventions (BI) and others, vary in their approach; however, all are based on the interaction between the therapist and the user to elicit change in the user’s behaviour. There has been much research and debate on psychosocial interventions over the years and it is time to review their input
