Reflectıons of Trauma in Vısual Language

The history and the change of the disorders that may occur after trauma and trauma have been considered. The effects of trauma on art and artist were considered by examining the thinkers and sources with different perspectives. Within the scope of this study, the answers to the questions of how it affects the art, the artist as well as the society have been tried to be taken into consideration, taking into account the trauma, the madness caused by trauma and various psychological disorders. In the direction of the resources dating from the ancient world, the concept of insanity has been examined. As a result of the researches, the underlying cause of madness, trigger and trauma, which are the leading causes, have been examined. In this regard, although it can be seen that trauma may have intensive effects on the creation process, examples are given from artists who produce works on various traumas. Social and individual traumas and subsequent ailments have been the subject of art throughout history, have been reflected in visual language and accepted. At the same time, it reveals the dilemma and obscurity by carrying the stamp character. The resulting dilemma has been the main subject of this study. It is aimed to address the uncertainty and process of trauma in the works performed without technical limitation. The diversity of the mood of the artist that changed after the trauma was emphasized. In the historical process and today, the forms of expression of individual and social trauma in art have been examined. In art works carried out in this direction, fragmentation and decrement in the approach to body image were tried and these images were brought together with uncanny natural elements.“Travmanın Görsel Dile Yansımaları” isimli Yüksek Lisans Çalışması Raporunda; travma ve travma sonrası oluşabilecek rahatsızlıkların tarihi ve değişim süreci ele alınmıştır. Farklı bakış açılarına sahip düşünürler ve kaynaklar üzerinden irdelenerek, travmanın sanat ve sanatçıya olan etkisine değinilmiştir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, travma, travmanın yol açtığı delilik ve çeşitli psikolojik rahatsızlıklar göz önünde bulundurularak, sanatı, sanatçıyı ve ayrıca toplumu nasıl etkilediği sorularının cevaplarına ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Antik dünyadan günümüze kadar uzanan kaynaklar doğrultusunda, delilik kavramı irdelenmiştir. Araştırmalar sonucunda, deliliğin altında yatan, tetikleyici ve başta gelen sebeplerinden olan travma incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, travmanın yaratım sürecine yoğun etkileri olabileceği görülmekle birlikte, kişisel travmaları ya da toplumsal travmalar üzerine eserler üreten sanatçılardan örnekler verilmiştir. Toplumsal ya da bireysel sebeplerle oluşabilecek travmalar ve akabinde gelişen rahatsızlıklar, tarih boyunca sanatın konusu olmuş, görsel dile yansımış ve kabul görmüştür. Aynı zamanda damga niteliğini taşıyarak, ikilemi ve bilinmezliği ortaya çıkarmıştır. Ortaya çıkan ikilem, bu çalışmanın ana konusu olmuştur. Araştırmalar doğrultusunda, erişilen kavramlar ve düşünceler üzerinde eş zamanlı düşünülmüştür. Teknik sınırlanması olmadan yapılan işlerde, travmanın belirsizliğine ve sürecine değinilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Sanatçının travma sonrası değişen ruh halinin çeşitliliği vurgulanmak istenmiştir. Tarihsel süreç içerisinde ve günümüzde, bireysel ve toplumsal travmanın sanatta ifade biçimleri incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda yapılan sanat çalışmalarında, beden imgesine yaklaşımda parçalanmalar ve eksiltmeler denenmiş ve bu imgeler tekinsiz doğa elemanlarıyla bir araya getirilmiştir
