National addiction strategy: The National Substance Misuse Strategy Steering Group was established to identify actions that could be used to deal with the harms caused by alcohol use and misuse. The Group launched their Report on 7 February 2012 and it is intended that an Action Plan to implement its recommendations will be presented to Government this year. This Action Plan along with the National Drugs Strategy will comprise the overall National Substance Misuse Strategy which is expected to be completed in Summer 2012
