The new concept of carbon sequestration and enhanced gas recovery for underground hydrogen storage (CSEGR-UHS) is numerically investigated and the results are presented. The essence of the concept is to use carbon dioxide (CO2) from CSEGR as a cushion gas for UHS in a depleted gas reservoir. Based on experimental data from the literature Peng Robinson equation of state is chosen as most representative one. Molecular diffusion is modelled via diffusion coefficients, while kinematic dispersion is modelled by alternative approach of implementing the alpha factors.
